Breast augmentation is intended for women who wish to restore or increase the volume of their breasts, correct asymmetry, or regain a balanced figure.
As with any surgical procedure, suitability is assessed medically: skin quality, breast gland volume, and overall health are among the criteria examined during the consultation.

Implants or lipofilling?
There are two techniques for increasing breast size; the choice depends on your body type and the desired result.
Breast augmentation with implants uses flexible, certified silicone gel prostheses. This technique offers the greatest and most customizable increase in volume. Depending on the patient’s anatomy, the implant is placed in front of the muscle, behind the muscle, or ina dual-plane position, and the scars remain discreet.
Breast augmentation via lipofilling uses your own fat, which is harvested through liposuction and then reinjected into the breasts. The result is very natural, with no foreign material, but the increase in size is moderate (about one cup size). The two techniques can also be combined.

What is the breast augmentation procedure like at Matignon?
The program is based on a clear, personalized plan organized into three stages.
1. Medical evaluation.
During the consultation, the surgeon assesses your body type and the condition of your skin. The technique, size, and shape are determined together to confirm that you are a suitable candidate for the procedure.
2. The procedure.
Performed under general anesthesia in a clinic, it lasts an average of 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes. The surgeon inserts the implants or reinjects the fat, always striving for precision and a natural-looking result.
3. Recovery.
Wearing a compression bra is recommended for 4 to 6 weeks. Light activities can resume after one week, and sports after 6 weeks. The final results are visible after about 3 months, accompanied by personalized postoperative follow-up.
