Prematurely aged skin or skin severely damaged by sun exposure can be successfully treated with fractional laser. It’s an innovative, natural technique that gives new impetus to photorejuvenation.
Fractional laser is particularly effective in the treatment of wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes and mouth. It also refines skin texture, tightens dilated pores in seborrheic skin and smoothes acne scars. It also increases collagen production and firms the skin.
Non-ablative fractional laser treatment
The principle of the treatment is based on the micro-perforation of the epidermis by the laser beam, creating micro-lesions that stimulate collagen production and promote the formation of a new epidermis.
This phenomenon leads to a modification of the epidermal structure, with a smoothed appearance, while toning the superficial dermis. These in-depth changes bring long-term benefits, and slow down the natural aging process.
Duration of treatment
Non-ablative fractional laser treatment is performed over the entire face under contact anesthesia using Anesderm cream. Each session lasts around 1 hour, and we recommend between 3 and 5 sessions, at intervals of 2 to 4 weeks.
Results
The treatment causes redness and slight swelling of the face for 24 to 48 hours. Recovery is particularly rapid thanks to the fractionation system. The sessions can easily be integrated into a busy professional schedule. Results can be seen 4 to 8 weeks after the last session, when collagen production is at its peak and the skin appears smooth, healthy and rejuvenated.
Treatment with the new 2940 fractional ablative laser
This is an intensive smoothing of stubborn areas such as around the eyes or mouth. The operating principle is the same as that of non-ablative fractional, but it is far more powerful in terms of its efficacy on deep wrinkles.
Duration of treatment
The treatment takes place under local anaesthetic and lasts about 30 minutes. 1 to 2 sessions are recommended, spaced 2 months apart.
Results
The treatment entails a professional and social absence of around 5 days, during which the treated area will have a crusty appearance. By the 6th day, the skin looks normal again, but the full result is seen 4 to 8 weeks after the last session, when collagen production is at its peak and the skin appears smooth, healthy and rejuvenated.
