Stopping time

No downtime is required. However, there is a social eviction of about 3 to 7 days.

Recovery time after blepharoplasty varies according to the extent of the procedure, but generally takes between one and two weeks for a full recovery.
Most patients can return to their daily activities after a few days, provided they avoid strenuous exertion.

Strict adherence to post-operative instructions will promote optimal healing and limit the risk of complications.
Our surgeon will be with you every step of the way, to ensure a worry-free recovery.

Back to sport

In general, gentle sport after 10 days, and full return after 2 to 3 weeks, depending on the patient and the intensity of the sport.

Sun exposure

Direct sun exposure on scars should be avoided for at least 6 months to prevent permanent pigmentation. High levels of sun protection are recommended.

Before the operation

Each procedure begins with a thorough medical consultation, essential to assess the feasibility of the operation in complete safety, taking into account the patient’s medical and surgical history. This meeting also enables us to understand the patient’s aesthetic expectations and to define the most appropriate treatment protocol.

The operation

Upper eyelid surgery is generally performed under local anaesthetic, and requires only limited recovery time. The procedure begins with a precise assessment of the excess skin to be removed. The incision is carefully made in the natural crease of the eyelid, ensuring an almost imperceptible scar once healing is complete.

Excess skin is then removed with the utmost precision.

Tissues are closed with extremely fine sutures, enabling discreet healing and contributing to the desired lifting and firming effect. The eyes regain all their freshness, without freezing expressions.

After the operation

Recovery time after blepharoplasty varies according to the extent of the procedure, but it generally takes between one and two weeks for a full recovery.

Most patients can return to their daily activities after a few days, provided they avoid strenuous exertion.

Strict adherence to post-operative instructions helps to promote optimal healing and limit the risk of complications.

Our surgeon, Dr Julien Brilmaker, will be with you every step of the way, to ensure a smooth recovery.
