Heavy eyelids give an aged and tired appearance to the face. Blepharoplasty is an aesthetic surgery that gives brilliance to the gaze.
Blepharoplasty refers to lower and/or upper eyelid surgeries intended to eliminated signs of fatigue that are hereditary or due to age, thus correcting the aged and tired appearance of the eyes.

Treatment
Consultation with a surgeon is essential for this procedure. The procedure usually occurs under local anaesthesia. It is an out-patient procedure, meaning that you can leave shortly after. For the upper eyelids, the cutaneous incision is concealed above the eyelashes. For the lower eyelids, it is placed 1 to 2 mm under the eyelashes. If there are isolated pockets (without an excess of skin to be removed), the incisions are made inside the eyelids without a visible scar on the skin. The sutures are very fine, non-reabsorbing wires, which are removed 7 days after the operation.Result
Results can be assessed within 3 to 6 weeks. This is the amount of time required for the tissues to regain their suppleness and for scars to fade.Duration
The procedure can take a half hour to two hours. There is no pain, although there is sometimes a feeling of tension in the eyelids or a light irritation in the eyes. It is possible to resume regular activities the day after the operation; an oedema (swelling) or ecchymoses (bruises) often appear afterwards but disappear within ten daysBefore/after comparison
